Interesting, but no surprise to my friends that own BMW's when another sensor on a BMW craps out.

Looks like this is coming true...

At a computer expo (COMDEX) Bill Gates reportedly compared the computer industry with the auto industry and stated "If GM had kept up with technology like the computer industry has, we would all be driving twenty-five dollar cars that got 1000 miles/gallon." Recently General Motors addressed this comment by releasing the statement : "Yeah, but would you want your car to crash twice a day?"

No, the worst car would be a Yugo or Daewoo equipped with Windows ME (Mistake Edition).

Oddly enough having worked for BMW and by association MB/Audi, the German cars are built with parts that wear out prematurely or just crap out, the replacement parts are usually with the car for the rest of it's life.

The place I worked at replaced many items under warranty, even after warranty cause they where know to need to be replaced.

You are well and truly sunk when your car is displaying the dreaded BSOD. Just hope you are in "park" at the time.
