Default Base Lexus CT200h or loaded Toyota Prius?

Base Lexus CT200h = $29,120.
Fully loaded Toyota Prius (Model V) = $34,010.

Some things that the Prius will have that the CT won't:
  • 51/48 mpg
  • Dynamic Cruise Control
  • Pre-collision System
  • Lane Keep Assist
  • Intelligent Park Assist
  • Navigation DVD System
  • XM Nav Traffic
  • Backup Camera
  • Solar roof panel
  • Toyota Care 2-yr 25k-mile maintenance service

DISCUSS.

Prius, if I want a hybrid I'll take the one which is more fuel efficient and bigger. Also knowing Lexus of Canada, the Prius could probably be equipped better as well.

Actually this is not all correct.

Bluetooth Audio and connectivity
Safety Connect

Are standard on the CT 200h.

CT 200h comes with a 4yr/50k Bumper to Bumper and 6yr/70k Powertrain. Complimentary loan car service and first two scheduled maintenance are free.

The CT200's interior looks nicer, imo. I have a relative with a Prius. Decent, but plasticky. I like the gauges right in front of the driver in the CT200 as well..

I understand this thread is talking about a base CT, but if you add Nav package, Audio package, and Pre collision system/Dynamic Cruise control package to the CT, total is also around $34k.

Does the loaded Prius come with leather seats? Base CT doesn't (leather seats comes in a $1300 package).

Nav/Audio and PCS are usually independent of one another, and cost about $3-4k each package. That would wind the CT to near $37k, without other packages such as moonroof, leather seats, LED headlamps, etc.

Yes, the Prius has leather seats for the higher-end models.

What's weird is the top of the line loaded $35K Prius V doesn't have that solar interior cooling moonroof.
The V doesn't have a moonroof available standard or as an option.

Thanks. I was basing my information on another thread in the CT section which listed the optional package prices.

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/ct-...rt-at-29k.html

Looks like PCS requires Moonroof, Nav, Audio, and Leather packages. If you also add the LED headlamps, the CT would be more $5000 more expensive than the Prius.

CT still gets my vote though. I like its style and sportiness.

I really like both but the drive is a huge difference. Prius drives like a Camry (which is clearly what people want). CT drives like an IS sport. CT is more luxurious inside as well and feels better put together. Prius is larger in the rear with more cargo room.

I hate the Prius IV and V packages and the way its set up too.

CT for me.

yes IV can get solar roof and not 17s, and V can get 17s but not solar roof.

oh, and the prius is not very big at all in rear and cargo, so the CT must be real small at the back. :/

loaded prius for me then, although i loathe the center guages and the weird center 'bridge'.

Prius III also can be had with Navi and Solar Moonroof. The only seating option available is cloth, which I would go for rather than the IV.
