Quote: I was at my Toyota dealer yesterday and saw a Prius V for $35K list.Had the nicer rims, bigger tires, leather, fogs etc but no solar roof.
Saw a Prius IV with the solar roof.
you can't get solar roof on V as far as i know an you can't get nicer rims on anything but V.

Yes,I was at the dealer with a friend who took one out for a test ride and the salesman did mention that.
Doesn't make sense unless Toyota doesn't want to add to that $35K list.

but you can always buy the car with the solar roof then ad the V wheels

btw - mine was a stripped II that I picked up for $18.8K (11k miles non-CPO) and installed the foglight kit ($120), HID kit ($99), and 17 inch V wheels (with 15mm spacers on the rear to bring them flush instead of tucked in)

oh and I added a new sound system...(new headunit, sub-amp and sub)

here's a pic of the flyaudio headunit I installed (super easy plug and play..thank you Mat!!!!)

Nice add ons.
The Prius looks so much better with the 17" wheel/tire set up.

also-over at priuschat they (a vendor) sells a 7yr/100K OEM bumper to bumper extended warranty for $1055....I believe you can get the same deal for the Camry as long as its under the 3yr/36 mile warranty.

I didn't go to that site but it's probably Troy Dietrich from Toyota of Greenfield in MA.
My son in law and I have bought discounted Toyota/Lexus Platinum warranties from him with no sales tax if out of MA.
Best time to buy a warranty is right near the end of the mileage or time of the basic warranty.

Nice car...always wondered, is there a noticeable MPG difference between the base wheels and the 17" Touring upgrade? Agree that the 17" make the Prius look much more upscale.

I'd estimate -2 mpg with the 17s.....I had the 15s before and could pretty easily get 60.5mpg....now I'm realllllllllllllly struggling to get 60mpg...currently at 59.7mpg for the tank and I'm trying much harder.
