Some of you have complained about Lincoln's "alphabet soup" vehicle naming, with several of their vehicles starting with "MK". I'll try and make it simple for you here.....copy these down and add them to your "favorites" file for reference:
The MKT...
The MKX...
The MKS...
The MKZ...
thanks, but i'll NEVER remember that. dumbest naming scheme ever!
actually maybe here's the reasoning:
T-Tank
X-Crossover
S-Sedan
Z-Zilch?
Agreed BUT like the MKT interior MUCH more than the Flex... too bad towing isn't better
That's primarily because of the MKT's unibody design and V6. If one needs heavier towing, there's always the big, V8, body-on-frame, F-150-based Navigator.

Come on, Paul. You're a good car-enthusiast. I've got more faith in you than that. Yes, it's dumb, and can somerimes be confusing, but it's not rocket science.
It's really pathetic, when even car-people can't keep this junk straight....
Same answer I gave Paul....if I can do it, so can you. So can many others on this forum. You've been following the car market for decades, just like me.
Lincolns naming scheme is dumb and they change it constantly and its just smells of amateur marketing. I hope they STICK with these names more than 5 years.
THe MKT is butch and looks very original. I like it b/c its big and USEFUL. If I am going to drive an ugly thing, it needs to have some utility. MKT makes much more sense than ugly useless things like the FX or ZDX which people fap too for whatever reason(s).
I actually like the MKT's ugly butt Though I am glad I don't see many, if any around!

The Pontiac Aztek, IMO about as fugly as a vehicle can get (though the new Nissan Juke gives it a run for the money), certainly had utility.......can't take that away from it.

The fact is I can't be bothered and don't care (which tracks very close to the general feelings of the premium car buyers of the US). I've seen one on the road in this area, I see $400K Lambo's more often than this thing.
Nobody at CL will buy one, including me and I have access to deeper discounts than probably anybody here, interest level is still zero.
My following of the car market tends to drift towards vehicles that matter, not the MK alphabet soup puzzle.

Not sure what you mean by "interest", but if you are talking about financing, anyone who can pay cash for a car has 0% interest......except, in some unusual cases, where manufacturers offer 0% financing for a limited amount of time.

Interest level = from a marketing perspective = customer demand = customer interest, but the real factual data supporting this low interest level (as I wrote previously) are the pathetic/low sales numbers.
I hope that's pretty clear.
