BMW testing the Hybrid M5; it runs half the ring under its own power and half in tow giving it double the MPG!!

 

A 28 year-old former BMW mechanic from Fort Worth, TX broke into the Nürburgring complex today, stealing and ultimately crashing a BMW M5 prototype. The vehicle suffered severe body damage to its front end and was rendered undriveable.

The former mechanic was accompanied by his friend, a former GM at the same BMW dealership in Fort Worth. "Look, this sort of thing happened all the time where I used to work" he was quoted as saying. The pair attempted to conceal the damage beneath some discarded 3M wrap they discovered in a trash receptacle. They are seen here attempting to return the vehicle to it's parking spot before being spotted.
