yet another matte black overkill....Mini Cooper S this time....
i think matte black looks the same on any car. it's not ugly or pretty.
i can never understand why it 'should only be used on exotics'.
you mean to say matte black only goes well with a wedge shape?

What's the point of HID license plate lights for example? Or most front lips? Or overpriced JDM curtains? Or JDM things that hang from your mirror. Some people like the looks. It's cheaper than painting a car and you can revert it back to stock. To each his own.
I don't have a matte black car but if someone wants to do it, fine. I don't see why it has anything to do with a youngster's street cred except you think it's cool to say street cred.

i'm sorry if i offended you in any way. "street cred" is a term i thought young people used. i'm getting up in age, so my knowledge of street terms are dated. maybe i should have used "ego" instead.
Just not feeling the whole matte black thing. Saw a SL55 a while back at Universal. It appeared OK from across the intersection, but when she parked next to us in the parking lot and I looked at it carefully after they left, wow, I left unimpressed. Had bubbles, poor cuts, overlaps, etc. Perhaps it was just an install thing, but so much shelf liner on a car is bound to have problems IMO.
