From what i am reading, these cars are just like Lexus' extremely reliable is the routine service was done, but nightmares if neglected. Since this car has all records, im pretty sure i have a winner......hopefully
Thats a no go on the acura, when we got there, we started it and the engine turned over but wouldnt fire up. It took till the 4th time to start ad fter that it ran perfectly, but first impressions were everything. The next time we started it after driving it, it fired right up, but i rather not pay 3 grand to get a car, but pay 300 right away for a starter
It's not the starter. It's the main relay that was discussed earlier. The fix is simple, or you can buy a new one for $60 and never worry about it again. Could have low ball him at $2200 because of the starting issue and replace the part yourself and you've got yourself a good deal
wow man the legends are at it's final life cycle, if it has low miles then the odometer could have been tinkered with...not saying the doctor would have done so.
I had a 91 coupe and drove it up to 250k miles! oh man I milked it for all it's worth for 10 years!
As for the rust, i am in Buffalo so it doesn't rally bother me, i know that it could be fixed, just for how much i don't know. Here are two more pics
Rust may not personally bother you, but it can be a serious matter underneath if it eats badly enough into critical steering and suspension parts. If possible, get the car on a lift and check everything underneath. There could also be rust (or rust holes) is less-critical parts like the exhaust pipes and mufflers.
If this car has spent most its life near Buffalo (or a number of other places in the interior Northeast), it's been exposd to a LOT of road salt in its lifetime. And, of course, along the coast, the salt air doesn't help much either.
