Default 2011 Cayenne S

I had the opportunity to test drive a 2011 Cayenne S this morning. I must say I was impressed. The exterior is beautiful, moreso than I expected from photos. And it drives just like you'd think it would. I especially liked the steering and the ride quality, which was good even though the car had 20 inch wheels. It also was quieter than I was expecting. The "Auto Start Stop" function works surprisingly well. Some day all cars will have this feature. The only complaint I have, and it's a big one, is the driver's seat comfort. The bottom cushion is too firm, and there is no lumbar adjustment. Who but Porsche would provide no lumbar adjustment in a $80,000 car. (It is available with an optional seat, though.)

Thx for the input, thought similar on interior and I am looking forward to the turbo test drive. How did you think it drove compared a traditional sedan?

As far as seats, although I can't comment on "standard" seats, the seats in any Porsche (especially the Cayenne), are very comfortable.

I'm 5'10" and the Cayenne (both 2010 and 2011) is the most comfortable of any car I've ever been in...

I don't think you can say that the Cayenne drives like a sedan. You sit quite a bit higher.

I am amazed that the Cayenne has an option for a Burmester sound system.

I did the options for the new Cayenne. The options cost more than the Cayenne
