^ As illogical as it sounds, I think the correct bagde on the mut-vehicle will make all the difference in the world.

The EX isn't a failure here.

The EX is a nice vehicle in many ways, despite its rather stiff ride. The interior trim/materials, for one, is first-rate. The one big problem with it is that the rear seat/cargo-bay volume is far too small. Two of the vehicles we have often discussed in this forum.....the X6 and ZDX....have repeated that error.

I don't know why you guys think X6 is not a success considering it sells for $60-$80k being able to sell that many units in 2 years is a big success.

Have you been inside of the X6 Marshall? It has plenty of legroom front & rear for those over 6ft and the cargo room is not sparse.

This is internet chatter.. The vehicles are gathering dust in the back of the lot. Considering the BMW buying experience, I have to wonder how BMW centers including mine(Rallye) would be so foolish to make them to force people to take them .. The units that were sold were practically given all away with insane deals..

I should print out this thread to see if I can get a deal next week on an X6..

Sorry if my earlier post was unclear. What I meant was that the X6 followed some of the EX35's same styling/design themes in the rear.....and as a result, space efficiency suffers somewhat over what it COULD have been.

Again, my post may (?) have been unclear....sorry if there was confusion. What I was trying to say was that the X6, in my area, is neither very popular or widely kept in stock. BMW salespeople are glad to have any X6 sales, of course, that they can get (it is not a cheap vehicle, and, with the markup, they have room to bargain). But they know it generally doesn't sell, so they aren't going to keep a whole lot full of them, which, for several reasons, will just cost them money if they don't sell.

NYC, though, may be a different matter. As a local BMW owner yourself, you probably know more about what goes on at the BMW shops in that region than I do.

Please keep me posted on this, I wouldn't mind picking one up for a bargain if that is true. The only thing holding me back right now is the high price...and maybe MB's new tt engine.
