Default Ultimate JDM car, NSX type R or GT-R?

Ok, after two recent threads, I am inspired to find out, what is your ultimate JDM car, the NSX type R, or the R35 GT-R? This is not about track numbers, just personal preference . I choose the NSX type R myself, but it is close.

Not much of a choice here, but I would go with an NSX Type R, just personal preference.

You should be comparing the NA2 NSX-R (or NSX-R GT for that matter) to the R34 Skyline GT-R V-Spec II Nur, M Spec Nur, or Z-Tune - a JDM car that, like the NSX-R, can't be purchased in the U.S. and has very limited production numbers. However, the only thing they'll have in common is that they're extremely rare.

edit: ...and I'd take either one in a heartbeat.

NSX-R for me but the GT-R is a very very close 2nd. The bonus is that I can drive a GT-R every day but not the NSX-R. However, the NSX is still the car I desire to buy if I had the money (and my future lifestyle allows it)

NSX type R for me.

The GT-R is a very blunt instrument.

NSX is simply too old. Not taking anything away from it, it was one of the greatest cars in its prime, but today I'd pick the GTR without a second thought.

Very good point, but here is the reason. A real NSX fanatic, can build their own NSX type R, from getting the parts from spoon sports and many other different places. After buying a year 2002 plus NSX, and putting on all the parts to make it a type R, the cost will be about the same as getting a GT-R.

Also while no other cars mentioned, like the LF-A? I wanted the cars matched as a comparative price point and fanbase. Besides I just saw two other threads with video posts about the NSX type R and the GT-R, so I wanted to see out of the two, which one CL likes best.

That's it for me as well. The GT-R line is just legendary.

definitely the GT-R. even seeing the pics of the older ones into what it has transformed into, its beautiful. more importantly, its not like a consistent model in the nissan lineup. until the recent GT-R, i think i was a good period of time since the last one in production. lines on the car make it appealing. for the current GT-R, i think ive seen more of them than the IS F, which is odd, but thats pasadena for ya!
