Sat in the new 4Runner today (both Trail Edition and Limited versions.. Canadian models). I like the Lexus-like glovebox (though it doesn't have the same "heft" as the Lexus models). The plastics are ok, can't tell if it's much improved. Maybe a little? The steering wheel is nice and fat. The Limited felt a little better but it could just be because of the leather and other fancy features that make it seem like it should be better. The sliding cargo floor on the Trail Edition is interesting. I think Saab did a better job of that with their 9-5's sliding cargo floor (remember the 9-5 being hanged in the air by its cargo floor only as a demo of its strength?). The 4Runner's floor seems a bit... clumsy.
