Get the A4 or the G37. You don't seem to be interested in the ES, IS, or even C class. If you want the best driving sedan in the class, just get a BMW 328i.
Actually as a matter of fact, i never considered the 328i, but after some research, it's starting to become a serious contender cuz the new refreshed styling is growing on me

I'm not too concerned about the interior but is it reliable? Being japanese it should be right?

One of the main priorities is "image/prestige" and unless you like in Bizarro world, saying Mercedes-Benz says a lot. People don't say "oh I have a C-class", they say "I have a Benz". Only haters would say "oh its just a baby benz", most say "that person has a Mercedes". (I am fully aware of the tards and douches that try to leverage their C-class as some holy car and better than anything just because it is a "Mercedes". I don't feel the O.P is one of these people)

I COMMEND the O.P for being honest here. Far too many times people act like they don't care about badges (yet we all drive luxury brands) and "diss" people who do value image/prestige. If people truly didn't care as much as they act, they also wouldn't care what Zip Code they live in, they would buy clothes only from Wal-Mart and drink faucet water and not "Dasani".

I say go with the C 300 (sport).
haha you made a compelling statement but the C300 seems to be less of an option after what my friend told me. He's the one with the 07 A4 and this is what happened... His A4 was in service so got a C300 sport as a loaner car. He pulls up in the parking lot and I see and say what's up. He then rolled down his window and said "look at this piece of sh&t im rollin in" and he parks. As we started walkin to class i ask him why it sucks, he says "pickup is slow, handling is atrocious, but it's very comfortable and a smooth ride...but i still hate it." I said "Even compared to your A4? The C300 has more power and torque and handling can't be that bad right? He says "Yea it might have more power but pickup off the line is slow for some reason and yea handling sucks." Then another one of our friends join in and he says "Hey how did that race against that one guy go?" A4 guy says "We raced upto 110 and i beat him easily" Other guy says "Doesnt he have an infiniti?" A4 guy says "I dont know care about that nissan piece of sh8t" I asked him "So what's so bad about the c class?" A4 guy says "Only benz's worth the money are E class and S class, otherwise get a bmw or audi." He basically shi!!ed on both my choices now I don't know what to do

This thread has gone too long, so did not read through everything, but for me... because you said you needed room for 4 adults comfortably, are you meaning for long drives, or short drives? If for long drives, over 1 hour, then sorry... although it's a turkey, the ES350 is the way to go if you have to consider the rear passengers.

I am sorry but you are pretty sad. To be completely honest with you, A4 2.0T, C300, and IS250 are all slow, and should not be talking about racing in those.

Maybe your friend had the C class in C mode (comfort) which starts the car off in 2nd gear for smoother driving.

Saying a C300 has more power than an a base FWD A4 is like saying Dominoes cheese pizza is better than Pizza Hut cheese pizza. They both are not that quick.

I would take a RWD C300 over a FWD A4 anyday. Sorry.

Not sure why what your "friends" think is so important. Impress yourself, not your friends.

Sounds like no matter what you buy, they will have something derogatory to say.

Default Currently have a G37X Loaner....

My Vette is in for service at the Infiniti dealer (I know, sounds crazy) and I got a new G37X 7-speed loaner with 600 or so miles on the clock. Initial impressions are that there is a HUGE improvement engine/tranny wise vs. the old G35 with the 5 speed auto. This thing is now REALLY quick (I would say on par with a 335i auto). Throttle response in instantaneous and the 7-speed auto works very well with nice rev match downshifts and pretty quick upshifts. Would definitely smoke the 3rd gen TL in driveway, BUT would definitely get SMOKED by my Vette . I could see someone who doesnt drive a Vette to be much more impressed with the power than I am. Handling on the G37X is also very crisp with little front plow and good steering feel.

However, it does NOT feel that luxurious on the inside. The 3G TL feels much more upscale and it is no where NEAR as luxurious as my moms M35X. The interior is very blah in my opinion. Doesnt feel up to par of the 40K price tag.

Of you want a DRIVERS car, the G37 is by far the best bet.....

Yea that would be far more productive than listening to the so-called friends.

While the G37 is winning the poll and many of us like it, it is not a serious consideration if you read his posts.
