Seeing it in the photos doesn't do it justice. But in real life, up close, it looks fantastic.
I guess people in Europe does have different taste in car as us America, that X1 is ugly as sin.

Well, I am an American living in Europe.

Seeing something in real life makes the difference if you ask me. I have to admit I didn't like the X1 when it first came out. But the design has grown has on me and the more I saw it the more I began to appreciate its design. If you ask me, it's the best-looking BMW SUV at the moment. I never found the appeal in the design of the X3 (a styling disaster if you ask me) and the X5 and X6 are to "brutish" for my tastes.

The X1 on the other hand looks very nice. Perhaps when you encounter it stateside you will change your mind.

A lot of people say a certain looks alot better in real life than in pictures. 99 out of 100 times, its not true. If there is enough picture of a car from different angle, then its enough to judge how the car will look in real life. These pictures are suppose to capture the best angle and lighting for the car anyways, so sometimes a car looks even worst in realy life. Maybe you are just condition to like that type of car because of your envioment.

This is true, but even so, it doesn't mean much...

I think the X5 looks fantastic, but this X1 is just gross... not as bad as the awful X3 though...

Im all for some innovative, hell, unorthodox designs, but the BMW has exceeded my expectations.

lol ... call it 'sport' anything and people think it's great, call it what it is (a wagon) and the general population hates it.

I think they're both pretty nice to be honest. Not a fan of the X6 or X3 though.

Looking forward to see the Q3 and BLK

Can't speak for Europe, but it is not likely that mini-luxury SUVs will sell well in the U.S. Like I mentioned earlier, most people here who want smaller SUVs tend to want lower-priced ones like the RAV-4, CR-V, etc.....

I firmly believe that is why Lexus has not done a smaller, RAV-4-based SUV here....the RX is the smallest they've done.

Yes, but that's partially due to price difference that impacts car sales of all vehicle types.

The new RAV4 is not a small SUV believe me, it can carry bigger cargo than the EX350 and the GX470.
