It's beginning to look like our first impressions were correct. Philadelphia Indemnity Insurance Company, the insurers of the Veyron are now calling foul. It appears that the owner wrecked the exotic to collect the insurance, and there the troubles begin . . . the excuses are breaking down, with at least one anonymous informer eager to tell his story of being asked to steal the car and torch it. As noted a year ago, the guy who happened to shoot the video captured the whole incident, something the owner didn't think about when he hatched his plan to crash the car into the marsh. It seems the video contradicts his excuse that a large pelican flew up in front of him and he was trying to miss it. Oops . . . . there's no pelican or any other critter in the video. The owner may not be able to collect on the insurance anyway, as the policy was written to cover test-drives of vehicles in his shop for limited miles, not a full-boat auto policy.

wow, how could anyone get bored of such a machine, I am sure money isnt an issue being that he has exotics and owns a shop

He is not bored of it, sounds like he crashed it intentionally to profit from insurance fraud.

The same guy bought another Veyron a week after he crashed that one. So is not that he doesn't want a Veyron, he just doesn't want THAT one.

The owner of that Veyron, Andy House, is the owner of Performance Auto Sales in Lufkin that fixes wrecked exotics. Common sense say he is trying to cover up the flaws that devalued that particular Veyron by crashing it into a pond and collect the value of a mint car from the insurance company. The potential profit can be a few hundreds grands.
