Well it's also extra over here but we don't get cloth as standard. We get leatherette.

i didn't know ES wasn't in japan, thanks, interesting.
not surprised the mark has a huge following, and it's disappointing it won't come to the u.s.

Lexus ES = Toyota Windom in Japan(& a few other markets) for the first 4 generations, until the ES350 came out in 2006, but no ES350 offered in Japan ...

Very popular compact luxury car in China (called the Toyota Reiz there).

The back end and taillights look a lot like the new TSX.
Overall, a decent-looking car.
So "bhp" is less than our "hp?"

Ditto.

And heck, as much as our Asian Camry is a good car, this one beats it hands-down hehe

I do hope Toyota Japan can sell this thing overseas

This looks to be roughly equal to the new Nissan Fuga quality-wise, and IMHO it has better interior and exterior styling.

Although it will not come to the US, I like this car.

I kinda agree with you there (despite what people may dislike about the rear-end design).

I'm thus hoping that they make LHD versions of this (especially for the lineup).

I definitely wanna see a Toyota-brand sedan that's a class higher than the Asian Camry

I'm still puzzled when it was mentioned that the new Mark X would be going against the 5-series (in Japan and probably a few Asian countries). That's what the Toyota Crown is for.

The Mark X (just like its predecessor relatives like the Mark II, Verossa and Cressida) is more pitted for the 3-series and similar vehicles.

Unfortunately even I'm still confused with all of this
