Default What was you march up market?

I'm curious about how many of you guys bought further and further up market with your car purchases.

For example, maybe your first car was a Sentra and then you moved on to a Camry, and from there to GS and from there to an S-Class or LS or whatever.

Another interesting question is how far up market would you like to go?

Personally I think I've reached a plateau for myself and my family at the near luxury level occupied my cars like the G, 3-Series, IS, TL and Maxima. Those cars are the best fit for me and my lifestyle. There are great cars above these but they just aren't for me.

I have no boundaries on my "wants." I'll go as high as I can afford with no limitations.

Regardless of what it is or how much it is, I still need to be able to validate and justify the purchase though. I don't like to blindly spend money...

My march up market began with my first new car purchase. The 2002 Toyota Rav4L was it. The rest is history.

Yes b/c a used car purchase cannot cost as much or more than a new car purchase.

Motorcycles: Honda Reflex (250cc), Suzuki SV650, Suzuki SV1000, Ducati Multistrada 1000 DS, Ducati Monster 1100, ??? (prediction: Ducati Strada Aperta 1198cc)

new 95 corolla DX---> 99 GS300 (used, 5k miles)
poor grad. student--> in-debt graduate

I'm getting a little sensible with spending money on cars now seeing how money is thrown down the drain with depreciation.
however, I want to go as high as a DBS (keep dreaming)

Went through a few cars, but basically, chevy beretta- mitsubishi eclipse turbo- to Lexus IS300. Hopefully next step up is the IS-F, then a Porsche, and then very later, a exotic.
