Default Against the grain

Well I did it...went against the grain. I've been searching for a new sedan with AWD for a while now and made my decision today at the dealer.

2010 BMW 750Lxi
Alpine white ext.
Oyster & Black Nappa interior. Fully loaded with M-Sport package.

It was between the 10' Benz S550, 10' LS600HL, 09' Maserati Quattroporte....

Test drove them all but just fell in love with the Bimmer.....Mine should be here in a month or so......TO be completely honest- this VOSSEN wheel shoot put me over the edge:

Congratulations on the purchase!!

By the way, in which order did you test the cars? Which one did you like the least of the group?

Test order:

S550 First
Quattorporte 2nd
BMW 3rd
LS600 last

and then Quattro, BMW, LS600, S550, then Quattro and last BMW....

I LOVED the quattroporte S - Absolutely loved it. 1 problem - NO AWD...so it was essentially disqualified from my choice list :-( I could have managed it, as I've other 4wd vehicles but it wasn't the "smart" choice...

The LS was probably the most quiet and relaxing out of all of them but I personally didn't like the interior....most likely I was just looking for a change as I've owned Lexus auto's for a number of years.

Awwww to bad on the Quattro and not being AWD for you. I love this thing to death much better than A8L I had last. Stepping outside of the box is very exhilarating.
Congrates on your new automobile..

A BMW 7 series is against the grain? If anything you are going with the flow. Congrats.

Congragulations on your purchase. You must have had a lot of extra money lying around.

It's a great touring car, and the xi AWD, in my opinion, was a wise choice .....particularly if you have bad weather where you live. My only real problem with the 7-series is the I-Drive, which I dislike in any BMW (and the MMI in Audis). They also are not particularly reliable in electronics......you can probably plan on some trips to the dealer, there and there, to repair things like wiring, bulbs, electric motors, etc...

Well, white can be a beautiful color if it is done right, especially with the Oyster White Pearl that is popular on luxury cars.

I agree, white is a very nice color on many cars, especially cars with crisp character lines.

IMO, example of car that is nice in white: C-Class Benz
IMO, example of car that looks poor in white: Boxster Porsche (looks like a used bar of soap)

White can look great in some cars... Like the 750 and IS-F for example. not all can pull it off and there are some that look terrible. WHite is pure cleanliness and class.. Look at the 750 with the black Vossens.. pure classiness..

Congrats on the 750 LuvLuxury. post those pics woth the new wheels..
