Has anyone driven one of these? One of my buddies had an Exige, and sold that for an M6, and is now going to sell that for the Lotus 2 Eleven. From what im reading it sounds siiiiick!
Has anyone driven one? hows the feel of it?
I think it looks REALLY weird, its going to take a while for the looks to grow on me.
Weighing in at just 1,477 lbs with 252 hp on tap at 8,000 rpm courtesy of its supercharged and intercooled 1796 cc engine, the Lotus 2-Eleven boasts a power to weight ratio similar to that of a 1960s Formula One car. Peak torque of 179 pound-feet comes at a similarly high-strung 7,000 rpm. Zero to 60 mph takes just 3.8 seconds, while the sprint to 100 mph is over in 9.1 seconds.

I love that car from reading what it's capable of.... Super Go-Kart on steroids. I know a guy who had an Exige as a DD and he said it was quite uncomfortable. I would imagine the 2 Eleven would been even less forgiving since it is even more of a dedicated track car than the Exige. Then again, you never mentioned he would use it as a DD.

oh haha no no he wont be using it as a DD thats for sure. hes an Instructor at a track, and this will be his track only car. i dont like the looks too much, but id love to get a ride in it, and take it for a spin
Awesome car to get for pure track. But I'd probably get the Ariel Atom instead. Not having fenders over the wheels like on the Atom is awesome for hitting the apex.
Would prefer a top like on the Elise or Exige if it was a daily driver.

Driven this car. A friend owns one and its just awesome handling, even lighter than my Elise but then again my car has headlights and a radio and 2 seats. The 2-Elen I drove had the other seat taken out and if its not for going faster its not found on that car. The 2-Eleven is a more raw sportscar that is focused solely on the track drive and experience.
Not a daily driver by any means and neither is my Elise which is more street capable since I can have a softop, a hardtop or none at all. If you are fortunate to drive one on the track you'll see this car is all about the on track experience and pretty much nothing else.
