Now that I am new to the club, I thought I would share some photos of my ride. I know it's no Lexus, but I really enjoy this car and have loved it since day one.
However, I believe I am going to become quite spoiled by the GS and will end up in one of these a few years down the road (used of course)!
To those in Phoenix, I have only seen 2 other cars like mine (one silver, one black) so if you see it crusin' the 60 or 10, you'll know who it is.
Welcome, I loved the 300M and I is that a "special"? I really digged the updates. It had a big 3.5 V-6 way before anyone else did it, with what 255hp?
Thanks for sharing! I prefer it to the 300C
Indeed, it is a Special. The updates are the spoiler, tinted windows, Pioneer head unit, 12" sub and second amp (have yet to add photos to gallery), de-badged trunk, chrome pillars, chrome witches, and custom made intake.
In it's heyday it was among the tops in its class for power. Has the 3.5L 255 hp/258 ft lbs as you mentioned. The intake gives it about another 8HP.
I too love this design over the current C style, and so this was the last model year for the design, not to mention it was only produced between '02-'04 so it is fairly limited.
Thanks for the compliment and the move to the correct forum!
Really? your the first person I heard say that. My only beef with the 300c is the extreme lack of feel.
BTW welcome to CL
The 300M was shorter and sportier than the LHS/Concorde. I found it comfy but like an American GS to me. Maybe its just me. I also liked the interior when NEW. It looked original and to me tried to be its own car.
The 300C is a good car, don't get me wrong, a big brash vehicle clearly Bentley influenced. I've started threads on how much I like it and I find the SRT-8 . However the image of it just kills it for me and I don't like "look a likes".
300M special was a really good car back in the day. Best thing about them is that they blended so well with the rest of the pack, not many people knew that it was an upgraded version. Very nice car.
