Default 2007 Toyota Yaris: 354,000 miles in 3 years.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FXdMoKmIo9Q

It's a video compilation of numerous milestones.

Only thing to fail so far is his alternator (at about 325K). Everything else is original even his brake pads!

And he drives it hard with top speed runs and red-lining.

The car has never even left Florida. He's a medical courier and drives up and down Florida everyday.

not going to watch a video of odometers rolling but how is it possible to not even change brake pads?
i guess the car is light enough to not really wear the brakes much?
what about the clutch? 95% highway i'm assuming.

A big congratulations to your friend with the Yaris. That's just awesome! Does he plan on going much further with his Yaris? I'm sure he could hit a 1 Million miles easy.

It took me 13 years to hit 373K miles. I wanna see how far I can take my car.

ohh definitely, he plans to use the car to it's death...which doesnt seem like it's going to die anytime soon.

depending on his occupation, the million mile mark may be doable...all depends on if he's still continuing these trips as he is now.

Yup, highway miles which is really the only possible way to rack that kind of mileage in such a short time. That's why he's on his original pads. Not much time is spent using his brakes. Still though, Yaris brakes do last a long time anyway because of the lightness of the car.

Hey Baddis es,
How well do you know him? I've asked him how much his courier work pays and he hasn't come out with it except to say "it's worth it" to spend 10-12 hours a day on the highway. Because courier work usually doesn't pay very well.

You have to figure personal vehicle costs in a job like this too.

Any info you have is appreciated.
