Hate on a GTi sitting flush on old school BBS mesh wheels? No way. Very clean vee dub ya got there.
Welcome to the forum. Looking forward to see what you do with a GS.
Thank you sir. I have big plans for the GS. I was going to do air on the GTI, but decided not to until I have a 2nd car just in case the air decides to go down (pun intended :P ). I have a ton of air parts lying around in my closet, so why not?

Hah, I'm not sure where the line/picture is from since I just stole that picture from another forum, but I do remember that song. Ah, R. Kelly.

Thanks. I have more of the car on the old 8.5/9.5 set up if you want to see?
Hate it!!! Terrible!!! What were you thinking?? LOL!! Well you did open the floor for this discussion. The GTI on /classic BBS looks good. As poster above stated, many of us here are fans of really clean wheel fitment as well as car lovers in general; regardless of the brand. Looks good.
Nice wheels, don't understand staggered on fwd car. btw, are the wheels worth more than the value of the car?
Thanks guys.
Staggered on FWD is simple. Most cars have a narrower track in the rear and/or wide fenders, and it needs to be filled up somehow. Spacers don't make up for the lack of width
The value of the wheels with the effort I put into it is worth about what I owe on the car, but not worth anywhere near the actual value of the car itself.

Thanks for answering my question, much appreciated.
The look is great, IMO. I usually view staggered as jiving with where the power is put down (rear wheels for RWD). But I've seen many AWD SUV's and cars that I like with staggered setups
In the world of mod cars, (which many dabble in here too), we generally expect no increase in resale value as a result of mods, and usually expect it to hurt value. In fact many of us are prepared to return our cars back to a complete stock setup when time comes to sell.
