Am I the only one not impressed with this season? They are starting to get a bit long in the tooth.

yes. i used to think americans were bad at shortening every name but the brits have gotten into it in the past 20 years.

jeremy shortens to 'jes'/'jez' typically, so 'jezzer's a bit more coloquial.

'rozzer' by the way is british slang for police. no idea why.

when i was growing up there, slang for police were numerous "fuzz", "pigs", "filth", "old bill", etc. ... i'm sure they felt the love.

jeremy's quiet 'requiem' to the v12 aston at the end was just awesome. very moving.

I have been a bit disappointed with this last series of Top Gear, it seems to have run it's course and is probably due for a complete revamp again. Clarkson hinted a while back that they were running out of ideas and he couldn't see it going on in its current format much longer.

Agree- very thought provoking and ultimately sad to think about.

i do NOT agree with Clarkson

1. Environment: these cars are in limited production numbers, the overall impact on environment is not that big

2. Economy: these cars cater to the really rich folks that still make boat loads of money during economic downturns, thus the buyer base is not shrinking for this price range of cars

maybe his point is that because great cars like the aston are an endangered species, maybe top gear is too.

it still amazes me that the stuffed shirt, oh so politically correct BBC allows a show like top gear to be produced.

as jay said, it's one of the best television shows in the world.

i continue to be blown away by the cinematography and editing and production. it's incredible.

apparently Top Gear is the most profitable show produced by BBC

i dont see them stopping the show anytime, the stuffed shirts will simply look the other way when making big money

the BBC has tons of money to throw around into producing top gear. But when jeremy leaves, it wont be the same

So the producers have given us 1000 quid and told us to buy...a goat and to meet up at Liverpool, for series of challenges....

boring and uneventful season...the only consolation is knowing that it won't be too long of a wait til next season

they should cut down on the interview...too long
