Default Totaled Car..

Not my car..
My parents were out and on their way home, about to turn left onto the street that we live on, Eton Ave. from Devonshire in Chatsworth, a motorcyclist collides into them. The motorcycle was destroyed and the main driver has a collapsed lung and his girlfriend has a broken wrist. The cops believe that the motorcyclist was speeding as they saw him fly by a few blocks away. My parents were in a '93 Camry, and they hit the passenger side door, which my mom was sitting in. My dad said he didn't see anyone coming, but as he was making the turn, the guy turned his lights on and by then it was too late. She is still in the hospital right now, no broken bones fortunately and cat scan didn't show anything, but she has an irregular heart beat so they are going to hold her for a little bit. The glass is shattered on the rear passenger side window and they had to use the jaws of life to get her out.

Speeding and being out of control is BAD

Stay safe out there and keep these people in your prayers. Thanks.

Update: My mom is doing a lot better now and got up out of the bed and is able to walk around for a bit. She still has lots of bruising and soreness, but I'm glad to see her doing better. If they collided any sooner, the motorcycle would have gone directly into her side. The main point of impact was a few inches behind her seat.

They also happen to believe that the guy on the bike may have been drinking...as it was after the Lakers Game and he may have been going back from a bar.

But yeah..I'm in the market for an IS300 now..Anyone know of any that want a new home??
BTW: moderators move it to wherever necessary if it doesn't belong.

I hope your mother is ok, and as for the motorcyclist, he pays for speeding and trying to show off to his chick.

I am sorry to hear that. I'm glad that there was no other major problems since accidents on a motorcycle does not end well for a motorcyclist. Again, very glad your parents are okay!

Scary accident. The motorcyclist is lucky to be alive. I hope for a swift recovery for your mother.

Hopes everybody is ok.

I hate the growing amounts of people acting stupid and trying to show off...
