+1. And then some.

Not to mention, of course, that weed is illegal in the U.S., and so is being drunk in public, even aside from the DUI/DWI issues.

Driving while intoxicated is a bad idea regardless of the substance. The cost to society of drunk driving exceeds weed easily.

I've ridden in the same car as my buddy while he was smoking one, and if anything, I didn't really notice much a difference in his driving. Perhaps a little more edgy, but nothing severe as a drunk driver.

You will never see someone abide so closely to the laws of the road then when they are baked and the car smells like smoke. I'm talking 1 under the speed limit, 3 second spots, ect.. it'll turn a 18-25 year old driver in a senior citizen behind the wheel.

There are some parts of the country where the cops warn sober drivers to be careful on Friday and Saturday nights, due to all the drunks on the road.................................................., that worries me some.

So who needs a cop to tell them that? Anyone with two eyes and two ears knows that....just as Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and New Years' Eve are also classic nights for drunks....and prom night for teen-age drinking.

And, of course, being careful can only take you so far. You can control your own driving, but not what others do. The best you can do is simply watch out for them.

Although I will drive my own car on Friday and Saturday nights if I need to go somewhere, that's one reason why I don't do car reviews then...the added risk involved with other traffic (unless someone I know is buying a car on Friday or Saturday evening and wants me to check it out for them).

Absolutely. And alcohol is a known depressant, which makes passing out easier.
