I never knew you could scare dogs off with water. I should try that next time.
Not all of them, but from my experience as a former Dobermann owner, Dobies are not typically crazy about water.

Cops and judges don't always see it that way. Get caught speeding and you will get a warning or a ticket. Doesn't matter if others around you are speeding or not....posted speed limits are what matters, not necessarily traffic flow. I agree it's an imperfect system, but that's how it usually works.

It's even stricter on camera-equipped roads. If everyone speeds, then everyone gets a ticket....the cameras are not vehicle-selective. (The cameras, though, usually have a margin built into them to allow for speedometer error....some of them don't go off till the speed limit +10)

Getting a speeding ticket is a lot better off then getting an accident.

Besides, when a large pack moving at 15 mph over the speed limit say in an interstate, the cops can't do much about it. They just sit there and watch the whole fleet flies by.

I don't go by what the judge says. I go by what I said. Don't get too narrow minded simply obeying the posted speed limits without considering the surroundings and conditions around you. I am giving you good recommendation here guys. Trust me, this is for your own good.

There are still a lot of places that don't have cameras yet. I was implying on Cops on the street, not the speed camera.

Yes, breaking the law is breaking the law. It's a bad thing. But that doesn't mean you are a good driver. The good driver I am talking about is those who:

- do defensive driving.
- not getting in to accidents.
- do not block traffic, keeping the traffic flow as smooth as possible. This means everybody can go home sooner. Not only that, you will save more gas. You will also save your brake pads and rotors. Not only that, but this also minimizes stress on your engine and drive train. In the end, you save more money and you get home sooner. This is very, very crucial.

I get really irritated when I have to use my brakes just because some moron in the front slamming on the brake when not needed or just going too slow. Cops can get you for driving slow too, like going below the speed limit. It's about driving smart and use common sense.

I usually drive between 5 and 9 mph over the posted limit depending on conditions. On the freeway, it's more than that, but usually not 15 mph over. I avoid the left lane unless I am passing another vehicle. I don't like to drive in the #1 lane because it is for passing, but you also are more likely to stand out.

If you are in a pack of cars going 15+ over the limit and your car is modified, guess who is getting pulled over?

For avoiding accidents, I look ahead quite a distance and I do it regularly so I can anticipate what may be coming up. I am cognizant of bad drivers. They are easy to spot. Bad drivers don't plan ahead, many are timid or indecisive, and many drive much more slowly than other traffic. There are also bad aggressive drivers who are prone to binary inputs. It's either full throttle or heavy braking. They speed through, weave in and out of traffic, and have no plan. When I see either of these most common 2 types of drivers, I basically assume they'll do the stupidest possible thing imaginable and I prepare for it. I'm right a lot.

On I-80 I saw the following 1) Newspaper wide open over the steering wheel. 2) The office worker with a mess of paperwork across the steering wheel. 3) The driver watching the evening news on a flip down LCD screen mounted in the ceiling next to the driver. 4) A 17" television on top of a piece of plywood from dash to top of passenger seat. This was a delivery box truck. 5) A police officer driving on a local highway right hand stuck to his ear with a cell phone and his left hand waving in the air. 6) A tractor trailer driver decided to patronize a store on the local highway parked his rig in the right lane of traffic due to no shoulder 100% BRILLIANCE
