Unfortunately, no. What's amazing is that this stuff doesn't happen more often. When I was in high school, and woke up one morning having no idea when, or how, I got home, I realized just how bad drinking and driving could have been...

 

i still cant believe people are still this stupid.

 

I believe that every teenager (myself included), is entitled to one mistake, but not something of this magnitude that results in one or possibly more deaths. In a case like this, if the facts correspond with what is written in the article, the prosecutor and Judge, as I see it, will have little choice but to try him as an adult, even if he is under 18.

I'm 17 and a senior in high school, and my prom was last weekend. Instead of going to a buddy's house and drink my *** away, I ended up at another friend's house watching multiple horror movies and playing Cranium with a large group of friends.

So, you make a mistake, you live with it. That kid deserves to be punished to the fullest extent of the law. I have friends who made the choice to drink that night, but they certainly did not get into their Cavalier and attempt to drive home under the influence of alcohol.

And btw, not all teenagers are that mindless.

 

Tragic and all too common story about drinking and driving.

 

How utterly stupid of anyone of any age to get behind the wheel after they know they're incapable of driving.

 

its not tragic. tragic would be the story of Oedipus. this is just a right of passage for teens. obviously the ones not fit to continue are featured in these kinds of articles.

 

dont they drill this after school special stuff into the heads of these kids ????? Very sad and tragic.
