Good info from an enthusiast's point of view. If I recall the HS was derived from the Prius, so the low performance attributes were expected.

The HS was actually designed from the ground-up, with its Chief Engineer purposely engineering the car with more performance and handling compared to the Prius, albeit not sports oriented like the other Lexus hybrids.

That's why it has bigger wheels, touring tires, and firmer suspension.

Hybrid purists will find that those "upgrades" are ultimately unnecessary, but the car must appeal to the Hybrid consumer as well as first-time entry-level Lexus buyers...

Lexus has the capability on providing more interesting color choices.

The hand-stitched leather seats of the SC430, GS350/460, and LS460(L) can be made with various leather, wood, and stitch combinations.

Check out the Japanese SC430 interior color options: over 65 color combinations when you count leather, stitching, and wood options!!!

The interior designers at Lexus (in regards to the color schemes and layouts on the seats) have seriously lost their minds. Between this disaster in the 2009 IS-F:

... and now the clown suit of a patchwork interior in this IS-C:

...Lexus has failed at this attempt at blending luxury with sport. My eyes hurt, especially after seeing all this in person.

THey are so odd and make very little sense. I appreciate them trying but the patterns leave me

I'd still get grey with the red though and blue with the blue seats

110% agree with you javy. that two tone IS is really three tone. blue/white leather with black plastics. and a silver exterior. you have to be colorblind and straight up retarded to get that color combo. two tone HS. two tone ISF.

its so bad i dont really know what to say. i cant wait to see someone buy a blue/white leather, black plastic, maples eye wood, silver manual IS250c. i will laugh my *** off.

Would you prefer Lexus offer the same bland color options? I agree these colors can be implemented in a better way, but Lexus nonetheless should be commended for offering new and vibrant colors in the first place.

^Actually, I would. I'd take a classy, well executed "bland" interior any day over these ridiculous and uncoordinated designs. The Terra Cotta in the IS-F looks like somebody half-assed a quilt and just left it that way, and that blue catastrophe inside IS-C is beyond description. Again, opinions are like a-holes - everyone has one, and this is mine. It just happens to be pretty strong in this regard.

a simple whie and black would have been great, like the launch edition for the LS600h and also some pictures of he RX450H. The designers just got a bit too creative this time.

I cant believe they are putting a lexus emblem on the HS. Not my flavor at all/ The ISC looks worse than I thought it would, especially with the top up

I don't know about you guys but I am liking the blue/white two-tone seats...

The black/red for the IS F is a disaster though.
