Default New BMW X5-M and X6-M

Just saw an article this morning about the "M" version of the X-5 and X-6. They are 4.4 liter twin turbo V-8s with 550 HP. I suspect it can't be long until BMW mods the M3 with twin turbo's. Estimated 0-60 mph at 4.5 seconds.

Interesting, I heard about this a little while back but didn't have any of the figures. Looks they are going to be seriously powerful trucks, putting down some insane power even with their heavy weight (4900 pounds). I have personally never liked the styling of the X6 and find it interesting they are going the performance route with these SUV's (it's going to be interesting to see how many they actually sell). Lexus should come out with an RX-F

That's weird. I thought the TT V8 was always an option for the X6. At one point in time, the BMW near my house had the only X6 4.4TT in the country. They slapped a sweet rim/tire package on it and it was selling for $96k!!!! I think that is just rediculous. And that was not even considered the "M" version. If the price is that high I don't see many people buying them. But I do have a secret love for fast trucks like the Jeep SRT8, Cayenne Turbo etc... And I do like the X6 styling, especially with some new rims/tires. Should be interesting

I always liked the look of the Infiniti FX50 until I opened the hatch. There's no cargo space!

SUV and performance mix like oil and water.

That's nice competition for the Cayenne. They definitely look better. But at over 100k, there are much better options.

That sound pretty cool. I love the idea of working an SUV. They are already sloe and handle like **** so they need all of the help the engineers can give

I might be one of the few people who likes the X6. I think it looks sporty and aggressive. The X5, even in sport trim, looks boring to me for some reason. The predecessor model actually looked better from a styling point of view in my opinion.

True, but the Cayenne turbo and Jeep SRT 8 modded can reach 60 well under four seconds

You have a point there, making a 5000+ brick-like SUV fast is a huge waste of gas.
