im glad you brought that car up. one of these days im going to have to check that car out. im curious to see how i fit in an elise. i actually considered the s2000 at one point but then when i sat in it, i felt cramped. maybe its different in the elise if it has a lower seating position.

I'm about 5-10 170 and it was snug but not tiny or too tight where I felt like I was strapped in with no room to breath. Not sure how it compares to S2k. I guess you have sit and see for yourself. Great car though. If my dog would/could just sit on the front seat - she refuse to do it and only sit/ride in the backseats stretched, I would've gotten an exige.

flipspeed, if you have to get a convertible, shouldn't you be considering the e93 m3 then? e92 is just the normal coupe.

e93 is heavy, the silly top adds whopping 400lb to the car making it 4100lb. it's still a fast and powerful car that can handle on turns, but it does feel heavy

turbo is closest thing to a practical exotic car for sure.

If you feel cramped in an S2000, don't even bother with an elise. An S2000 feels small inside, but it doesn't feel nearly as tight as an elise. I rub shoulders sitting with anyone in an elise, and I'm thin.

the price range is why im considering e92 m3. e93 m3 is more money plus as you said... it's heavy. the sound of that v8 motor at wot is soo intoxicating that it makes up for not having the convertible top.

Yes, it sounds like GOD screaming! The Porshe's race bred engine does not sound bad either.. One of these cars is a better balanced machine. You will find out once you test drive them

yup, i have the e93 m3 and it's heavy. if it's not they were out of e92 i would have picked e92 for sure. e93 is more expensive but i am sure there are still a lot of 08 left, and they are going for dirt cheap now. i haven't driven turbo and boxster before, although e93 are heavy, but that m3 is still no joke when you want to toss it around
