Default Wrecked S-Class

Dubai: A 29-year-old Bahraini man died in a car crash in Festival City tunnel in Dubai on Sunday morning, Dubai Police said.

The car broke into two from the impact after it hit a streetlight pole killing the driver on the spot. Police said the victim, who was apparently speeding, lost control of the car that swerved and hit the pole.
Ouch.

Oh my the S-Class must be really being pushed to it's limits going to end up like that, i'm sure it's structure isn't weak like that.

Is it just me, or does every automotive-related death in the Middle East, specifically Dubai and I suppose Bahrain, the direct result of driving too fast? I seem to recall a thread a few months ago about someone driving too fast in an SLR and dying as a result of a severe crash.

What we need down there are speed limits that are enforced!

Basically all high-class cars that get into accidents are if they go to fast out there. Tons of nice cars there, people with money, reckless.

Fortunately, this driver killed no innocent bystanders and only himself.
Just my opinion- any idiot who drives this fast deserves it.

That's a terrible accident. I wonder if the car that Princess Di was killed in looked something like that too.

Default Diana's Mercedes wreck ...

^^It's an interesting looking 4-door S-class that wasn't available in North America. It has the front end of the then 2-door S-class coupe(not called a CL-class at that time), but it has 4-doors ...

We all chastise this guy for speeding but c'mon - almost all of us speed on here.

I just read a thread about how one of our own members picked up a CLK AMG Black Edition and he hit 170mph a few times on the way home.

To put that into other words...

170 mph = a mile every 21 seconds = 251 feet per second.

If the Benz in the OP was doing 170, there wouldn't be anything left of that car!

Be safe out there guys...

It's not speed alone. It's excess speed for conditions plus impact with something solid that lead to this.

Agreed, be safe please.

Wow, that's seriously crazy, and while i do admit what he was doing was a result of his own choices, isn't it a bit cold blooded to say he got what he deserved, as they say, sometimes good people can make bad decisions
