Well I'll be the usual odd one out and say that I love it. The cut off rear end is gorgeous and reminds me of the Lambo Estoque concept. And I think this car is going to have some serious road presence. And the hatchback; I think they pulled off the look very well and it looks more coupe than hatchback for sure. Hatchbacks give infinitely more room and storage space/utility than your normal layout (if this were a normal-back trunk space would be ABYSMAL) so I applaud Audi for taking this step (like they did with the even more gorgeous A5 sportback)
And yes, it looks like the A8/A6 but it has INFINITELY better proportions and thus just looks better. Plus that front-on view is sinister. And the interior; my god is it gorgeous. The layered oak wood; finally a new way of applying wood to the interior that's not tacky and overdone. Just looks classy. If this were a Lexus CL would be fap city right now

Spy Shots: 2012 Audi S7 caught, but what's under the hood?
Spy Shots: 2012 Audi S7 caught, but what's under the hood?
When this first batch of spy shots landed in our inbox, we didn't think too much about them. It's an Audi A7 with the optional S Line bodykit. Big whoop. However, the rear view tells a different tale. Specifically, the quad-tipped exhaust system.
What we're looking at is the first Audi S7 prototype which, according to earlier reports, could debut as early as next week at the Paris Motor Show.
If it does, we can expect a slightly lower ride height over the standard A7, upgraded brakes, wheels and tires, and a set of deeply bolstered buckets up front. But what's under the hood?
Initial speculation suggested that the 4.2-liter FSI V8 found in the Audi R8 could be the engine of choice, but the latest intel floating around involves a new twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 outputting upwards of 450 horsepower and a healthy amount of torque.

Yesterday I saw brand new A8 next to A4 from the back. At first glance I thought those were two A4s next to each other. Such a shame! Audi was really onto something few years ago but its just another evidence that Audi is even more conservative than Lexus in design philosophy.

^ The same thing actually happened to me a few weeks ago. I heard from a friend that Audi was hosting a launch event for the new A8 in Atlanta and there were several of them driving around midtown. I was on a lunch break, driving back to the office, and noticed a bunch of "A4s" at the car wash. I ended up stopped at the light right in front of the car wash and casually looked over and noticed that the wheel pattern looked different from the A4. I then looked at the rest of the car and noticed that it was rather large......whoops, it was the new A8!
I have a very keen eye for cars, even when drivng, but this one really caught me off guard and I legitimately thought it was an A4 for the first few seconds. The car has ZERO presence in person, IMO.

Sorry about the earlier post, guys, about it being overly-low and wide (I deleted the post). I was not on my regular computer at the time, and it was a wide-screen monitor that made it look almost like a pancake. Now that I see it again on a normal screen, it does, in fact, look good....or at least as good as the Panamera. I myself, though, would prefer a slightly higher rear roofline, espcially if you're going to take adults in the back seat.
