History shows that the LS has become one of the greatest road cars of all time and the Q45 is sadly discontinued. Its not the Q45s fault, just the INfiniti management.

I really liked the Q45 far over the LS when I was younger. A shame really how bad it was received over nearly 20 years.

The Infinity looks really aged next to the Lexus, and the interior/guages/center console looks like it came from a Kia

While I am a huge fan of Lexus LS models (not so much the 460) I am more impressed with the outstanding performance of the Infiniti. While I do love the interior and solid smooth ride of the LS...the centre stack does look a bit boring but I love the gauges.

The infiniti will usually be sportier than the lexus. Its more of a drivers car than a lexus, but the lexus gives the ultimate in luxury refinement

Remember the Q45 had a gas guzzler tax where as the LS400 did not.

yup, infinti's are regarded as the japanese bmw and lexus are more japanese MB's.

funny how 20 years later, you can see the lineage of the LS600 back to this LS400. The styling looks newer and fresher, but you can tell its an LS still.

When the two cars came out i was 5 years old but liked the infiniti Q45 because of its better performance and better looking dash plus you could get BBS wheels on the Q45. But the LS was my ultimate choice then as it is now it also has performance and is a better car overall.

Looking back makes me proud to see how far these two manufacturers ( that I highly respect) have come in such a relatively small amount of time.
