BorgWarner, the designers of the VW/Audi DSG that was introduced back in 2003, is the supplier for the GT-R transmission.

I guess Honda relies on the after market crowd to make a vehicle that matches the performance of a GT-R.

On a side note, making an unreliable car will hurt a manufacture's reputation, thus sales.

Exactly. Hell throw in the G37.Skyline 6 speed with 330hp sedan and coupe and Altima SE-R.
