Lexus GS-F is coming

High price of fuel? No longer true
I never believe there will be a GS-F for the 3GS anyway, so by the time the 4GS comes, it will be 2012, & the economy should have recovered enough by then, Toyota should be planning long term to be ready to launch a 4GS-F by then.
The car that I really want to see go into production is the LF-A, but they might as well use different versions of the V10 in the GS-F, etc., to spread the cost of development.

Now that the hype has worn off, it is even more clear what a great car the ISF really is (IMO). It didn't just go through some initial reviews and then drop off the radar. This car is great, and because of that it has staying power.
It really has hung with both the M3 and C63 in every single comparo and has bested both of them in some tests. You win some tests, you lose some tests, but the fact that you're in every one with significant praise means that you've made it.
The M3 has a peaky engine and somewhat "hyper" driving dynamics.
The C63 has a super cheap interior.
The ISF has its flaws too, but so do the others.
It's just different from the BMW and Mercedes, which it had to be. Otherwise it was going to be seen as an imitator when in reality, Lexus did something that was different than the others but just as good. The IS-F has stamped its name on the top of the hill, right next to the M3 and C63. They did a great job with the car, and I think they will have similar success with future F products.

I wonder if Lexus is going to go the same route next time around with sedan intros, GS-IS-LS-ES...?
IMO the GS-F is a great idea, any maybe an LS-F, but if the GS-F gets a V10, what does the LS-F get--the same?

Yes. And the Audi RS4 as well. What must be noted, however, is that it's based on sedan numbers ONLY. In other words, when you compare IS F sales numbers to BMW M3 4-door sedan numbers ONLY, the IS F leads in sales in the U.S., but if you add all 3 BMW M3 body styles together (sedan/coupe/convertible), then the BMW leads in sales.
The same goes for the Audi, although I'd venture a guess that, in that case, The Lexus leads even if you add up Audi RS4 sedan plus cabrio sales.
