Saw a nice M5 today...pics
Parked next to this guy at Publix today...and with the E39 being one of my favorite Bimmers I figured I would take a few pics to share with you guys. The front end is a little too much for my taste but the rest of it is killer

This guy used to be all over the M5board amazing detail to everything..... interior, system everything!!!! ....... these pics dont do it justice!!!..... Love this car!!! You are lucky, wish I could see it in person!!!
It was a really beautiful car in person. Short of that hood and front end, it just looked so clean and so beautiful. In great condition too. The old M5 is one of my favorite cars and this one is absolutely awesome!

To me, the best days to be a luxury sport sedan enthusiast were the late 90s and early 00s.

I still like the older GS 300s and 430s, 530i and 540i, E320 and E430/500, and A6 2.7T, 3.0, and 4.2 far more than I do any of there present day offerings. It's hard for me to explain what it was about this era of cars that I absolutely love, but I think they're some of the best ever produced.
Maybe it's because this is when I was 13-16 years old and these cars were the bad boys and mag racers of their time...lighting up drag strips, Mustangs, and Camaros, and still looking good doing it. Maybe it's because the technology overload in their successors makes them less appealing to me. I don't know. I think they were all such classic, beautiful, well built, and world class cars that still turn heads even 10 years later.
I also remember when the previous M5 and E55 were given the same regard as present day Lamborghinis and Ferraris...like true exotics.
Ohhh the memories
