Impressive car. Impressive time. *NOT* an impressive run.

1. Driver was into the rev limiter constantly
2. driver missed a gear, lost almost a full sec.
3. Cars tires were scraping on the body constantly.
4. On the straight-away, driver was into the rev limiter for several seconds.

Or, even the same driver with fewer mistakes. Yes, I believe the car can be driven better and faster.

1. All the times he was at the rev limiter, there was a corner coming up, and it could have been more beneficial to not upshift since immediately having to downshift would cost time and could unsettle the car and affect exit speed.
2. I think i saw him miss gears twice. The way he was shifting, it looks like it takes a lot of effort to move that lever.
3. Car's fault, not the driver's.
4. Again, car's fault for not having a tall enough gear.

It was funny to see how much he was bouncing in his seat during the back straightaway.

Just in time for Chrystler to unload the viper. I wonder what company is going to buy it.

Are you talking about running? I don't think anyone has broken a 1 minute mile yet. That is awfully fast

so stripped out race car only beats a daily driveable street car by 7 sec on a laptime near 7.5min. Not that impressive

The ZR1 ran a 7:26 and is FAR more comfortable to drive and isn't stripped at all - in fact it's more lux'd up than the Z06.

While that's still technically slower, for 4 extra seconds I'll take the ZR1 every time.

Strip out an R35 GTR and see what it'll run. That would be a comparison...
