That is pretty crazy and not to mention bold of BMW. I guess some of their cars will sell no matter what, but to raise prices 2% (in the case of the 1 series) all the way up to 5% (in the case of the X6) is staggering to me.
They are already discounting the M3 to invoice, so raising the price ~1.8% is going to do the trick?

Maybe they see the economy getting better than we do!

i cant say i'm suprised ... bimmer seems to still wander around w. the idea that they are the greatest manufactuere out there

i'd say the 3 and the x5 will sell reguardless, but this probably isn't the cleverist of ideas

besides ... i think most people lease rather than buy their new bimmer so the finance rates will make more of a difference than the invoice price

They did say they will be increasing prices and reducing lease deals. It was expected. Its so crazy to see a base 335i sticker for 40 grand!! So insane.

I chuckled when I saw this pic. I feel your pain little guy.

Um dollar has picked up against the Euro significantly in the past 3-4 months (http://finance.yahoo.com/currency/co...USD&amt=1&t=3m) .

Well BMW stated they plan to sell 20% less cars so this is about right I guess. Amazing a 335 convert starts at 50k. The 335 coupe/sedan is 5k more base than an IS 350 now.
A 135 convert is 40k base? lol

550 is 60k, only about 2 grand more. Why does the 6 series cost so much?

Deleting First Aid Kit on 5 series, 6 series?

Deleting space saver spare on X5 and X6?

A USB/ipod adapter is $400 on a $105,000 M6?

Wow!

BMW will continue to overcharge and overprice their vehicles like crazy and people will still pay for them, no surprise here.

I know right, even with 0% APR and low lease rate, working at Shop Rite wont help me make my lease on that 335 Coupe anymore :'(

Oh I knew someone would come back with something like this (I really want to say shortsighted, but I'll try to be nice). Take a gander at the BIG picture - look at the two and one year charts. BMW would have had to have been doing monthly increases on their prices to keep up with this. At $1.50 USD per Euro, they are getting killed and I'm positive they would have liked to have raised prices even more.

I wish I could pick up a BMW that cheap

As the post above says, BMW have been losing a fortune due to the weak dollar and currency hedging only goes so far. I'm surprised the increase is so little.

BMW was already too expensive so this is the wrong move for them. I understand the US Dollar is weakening... some same we may see 10% inflation this year!

To clarify... I think their base prices aren't too bad. If you look at the amount of car you're getting with a base 335i I think the price is reasonable.

It's really the options that kill it for BMW pricing... they charge almost rape-like prices for some optional features that are found as standard or at least at far lower prices in cars much less expensive.
