Default M3

I was about to test drive the new M3 but decided to look at the base price on one in the show room first . Eeeks... $69,900.00 cdn . no options yet !!!
I walked out and thought to myself .. forget it !!! BMW Canada wants to stick it up our canadian A$$ ! Now I won't even bother to look at BMW anymore .
The only car Im interested in test driving , pending the price ofcourse is the new 2009 cadillac CTS-V .

My E63 has been flawless so far.

oh yeah, it sure sounds like MB has improved on its problems

Had a C320 sedan, never again.

Where is that Top Gear comparo vid with the apple test? Only one car gives the driver complete control... It starts with the letter M...

In addition, you can use and abuse those brakes on the M car on the track or street unlike the others with no worries about spending $$ out of your pockets for replacement, hell even the wiper blades for those spirited drives in the wet for 4 yrs or 50k. Test drive the M car.

That's good to hear, but give it a few more thousand miles to make sure everything is ok. My wife's car has 26k miles and the problems started to appear around 18k. I'm just glad it's still under warranty...

Yeah, AMG repairs are indeed expensive...definitely wouldn't want to own one out of warranty. But I'll admit that I've been impressed with the build quality of my E. It's rock solid and not one rattle to be heard (unlike my GS). Also, my wife's E350 had zero issues during the 2.5 years she had her car.

Mercedes benz reliability has been improving since 2006 and above. 2006 and above cars don't really have reliability problems. Also the car comes with a 50,000 mile warranty and if need be you can extend it! I wouldn't purchase any high performance car including the Is-f without extended warranty!

no free maintenance program is good unless they throw in free tires!

A friend of mine, a Mercedes Master Tech, would disagree with you.
Mercedes warranty paid for his boat and Ducati.

I like the C63, pulls like a train and would be nearly undriveable without ESC.
Interior is boring and austere. And 18" wheels as standard? Seriously?

I would but the IS-F because it is unique and rare. But I am nutty like that.

My 08 E63 has almost 9k miles and no problems too. I have been on the MB forums and have not heard of any engine or trany problems for the 63.
