Default 2009 Audi A4

Sorry if this is a double post...

The new A4.. I like it, not too sure about reliability issues but I like the looks.(please note that im not bashing Audi's reliability, I have never owned an Audi so i dont know but from what ive heard from my friends who have owned one they say there are some reliability issues)

Anyone know what that black thing is near the foglight? a sensor of some sort?

looks like the radar/laser (dunno which one) for the cruise control.

the previous generation FX has a big ugly box in the front bumper too.

I like it too. This new A4 just make the entry-level sport sedan market that much more crowded and exciting. Almost all of them are hot looking in their own way. BMW 3-series sedan, Mercedes-Benz C-class, Infiniti G35/G37 sedan, Lexus IS, Acura TL/TSX duo, and this new Audi A4/S4 sedan. Can't wait to see another comparison.

Maybe it's for the lane-departure system and adaptive cruise control??? BTW, those LED DRLs are sweet. I saw an A or S6 with it yesterday.

Today Audi of America will publicly announce pricing for the entirely new 2009 Audi A4 Sedan and Avant. In order to keep you informed as our partners, we are providing the pricing information to you in advance of the public announcement. (Note that pricing for the 2.0 TFSI front-wheel drive multitronic and 2.0 TFSI quattro manual transmission model will be announced closer to their 1Q09 market introduction.) A detailed order guide with full pricing will be communicated to you and published to AIM on Friday, August 8th.

The 2009 A4 launches with a new simplified offer structure concept with three distinct trim levels: Premium, Premium Plus, and Prestige. The objectives of this structure are 1) optimized residual value, 2) minimized dealer trades, and 3) simplified inventory management.

This also means that the entry A4, called A4 Premium, is now equipped with many features that were previously optional and typically equipped. The entry typically equipped price is now lower by $450.

Example: 2.0 TFSI quattro Tiptronic Sedan

2008 MY Base MSRP $32,300
- 16” wheels
- Cloth seats
- Power driver seat only
- Std. S line exterior
- 6CD in-dash player
- Dual-zone automatic A/C
Premium Package (Typically Equipped) $850
- Leather seats
- 17” wheels
Heated front seats $450
2008 TOTAL Typically Equipped $33,600

2009 2.0TFSI quattro Tiptronic Sedan
“A4 Premium” MSRP $32,700
- 17” wheels
- Leather seats
- Both power front seats
- Sirius satellite radio
- 1CD in-dash player
- One-zone automatic A/C
- Auxiliary audio input jack
- MMI logic with color screen
- Electromechanical parking brake
Heated front seats $450
TOTAL Typically Equipped $33,150

The new A4 is perfect for the times, with its combination of efficiency, power, and progressive design.
Now you can also communicate the powerful value story inherent in our new pricing and offer structure for the A4.
Also keep in mind these important selling attributes of the ’09 A4:
• New 2.0 TFSI engine with 211hp and 258 lb-ft torque.
• Revised 3.2 FSI engine with 265 hp and 243 lb-ft torque.
• Latest generation quattro all-wheel drive with 40/60 rear torque bias for sportier handling.
• 21 city / 27 highway miles per gallon for the 2.0 TFSI quattro Tiptronic… better than 328xi, C300 4Matic, and IS250 AWD.
• 6.7 seconds to 60 mph for the 2.0 TFSI quattro Tiptronic… better than 328xi, C300 4Matic, and IS250 AWD.
• Available LED daytime running lights
• Excellent interior roominess and cargo capacity
• Unique available technologies including: MMI operating logic, Adaptive cruise control, Audi side assist, Audi drive select, and Audi music interface
