...the ONLY other options that I ws still considering was a
'06 TL w/26K miles on it for $21K
or
'06 TL w/42K miles on it for $20K with navigation
but to be completely honest I kind of like the LOOK of the TSX a little more also the gas will be more expensive on the TL; my fiance infatically says she does NOT need the extra power of the 6 cylinder TL...not that important to her.
Guys, help me solidify me buying this TSX today or tomorrow...Thanks!!!

ABSOLUTELY RIGHT. STAY AWAY. They are a nightmare and the company is actually doing very very very very poorly financially. STAY AWAY. Id buy a used Lexus, infiniti, or even a BMW, but not a jaguar

I have to totally agree. Jaguar is now owned by an Indian company by the name of Tata Motors...which is part of the Tata Group of companies...

hmmm.... i work on jag's for a living and i'll just say that i would never buy an x type. they drive like crap compared to their competion, theyre slow and horrible fuel mileage.

Well, just about any vehicle with AWD (and equal power) is going to have slower 0-60 times and use more gas than conventional FWD/RWD vehicles.........the extra hardware adds weight and drag. Though opinions differ, IMO, the drop in efficiency is worth it. However, you have a point about the X-Body's reliability, which, according to Consumer Reports, is well below average. Like you, I would not want a vehicle with a risky reliability record, but some people do not place reliability very high on their priority list....the continuing high sales of Mercedes products proves it.

I looked at getting an X-type a long while ago. There were strong incentives to buy 'new' cars that were sitting on the lot in 2003/04.
What I learned (some of this was covered before)
1) the Jag x-type cabin is not typical Jaguar quality (fit/finish/materials)
2) the chassis is a Ford Mondeo (which is actually not a bad car)
3) the v-6 feels weak for the HP/torque ratings it gets
4) it will not hold resale value
5) resale market will be very limited
I would ask myself what does $12k buy in the used car market today. It seems like you want/need AWD but would like better gas mileage than a SUV. What about a Toyota Matrix AWD, subie wagon AWD (legacy, WRX)?
