While I agree that the guy driving is the king of all doofus', my question is, why did that awning come down so easily???? Shouldn't they be able to withstand stuff like that???

well... lets say the truck is 6000lb and the trailer is... 5000lb, even going at 5mph the kinetic energy built up would be pretty tremendous dont ya think?

Loved this comment under the video...

It's a conspiracy... the ATM awning was detonated, you can see the pre-explosions before it falls over.

Did anyone get a chuckle out of the clip?

They must have went to home depot and picked up some workers to build the awning

I didn't see any detonation anywhere. That is really one crazy piece of stupid driving. I hope no one was hurt.

If you look carefully, you can see the passenger door open and a figure move outside of the truck. Yes they must have engineered it to withstand a light impact, but you can engineer something to be retard proof. I agree with the other poster. It would have a tremendous amount Kinetic Energy upon impact.

It's almost a miracle if the driver & his son did survive !!

Kinda reminds me of this accident about 15 minutes from where I live a few years ago. Unfortunately, he didn't survive . . .
