Yes, it's more of a marketing ploy to help Lexus build a list of Interested buyers than it is a real survey. The only time they let me proceed was when I chose that I wanted a new car in the very near future.
Political parties do this too. I get crap every day from McCain or someone else who I NEVER ASKED TO MAIL ME and they ask me to fill out a "survey". The last question on the survey is always about how willing I would be to donate money.
