Default $33,000 to spend

Hey guys,

So my friend is about thinking about purchasing a new vehicle. He's still young so he's looking for something to perform well. The car he needs has to be NEW, preferably 4 door, auto or manual (doesnt matter), be decently reliable, and at most cost $33,000. We were thinking the wrx sti? or the 3.2 a3? We need some help, so give us your input!!!!

He could get a base Lexus IS250 or a base Audi A4

What other concerns besides young and reliable. G35 sedan is hard to beat, starts under 32k, it will be reliable and overall a great car.

IS 250 is better TO ME outside the engine, which is 100hp shy and hard to ignore the missing power. BUT it gets much better gas mileage.

He can get deals on outgoing TSXs and TLs since the new models are around/coming.

Subie Legacy GT is also a great car to look at. Pontiac G8 as well.

id get a CPO S4. Not new, but why not? 100% parts/labor is covered.

+1 on the Legacy GT. A friend of mine has like an 05 or something and its really nice.

33k? EASY... fine a nice used UCF10/11 or 20/21 from some old ppl for 10k THEN spend the 23k on airrunner/jp bodykit/Weds rims/tons of JP int. goodies

i vote for a used is350. the is350 guys on here LOVE their cars and you can find one for 33k if you're willing to live with a little more mileage.

to me, higher mileage is just having the car roll from one place to another. no biggie.

Practical 4 door and new for 33K would be an Accord V6 for me.

Edit : I just saw it has to perform well, so the only thing available might be
the TL-S or STi at that price range.
