2008 Ninja 250r.... what do you guys think?
Hey guys,
Well im going to be a sophmore in college next year.. and i was considering getting a scooter to ride to and from class.. and around campus.. but then i decided that might be kinda cheesy for a musclur dude on a little scooter..
so i am now considering getting a 2008 ninja 250r... its just a beginner bike that geats great mpg
and will be nice to zip around and be able to park right outside my classes..
i know i could get a 600cc or something but im not trying to race around the highway and stuff bc i know id kill myself.. but do you guys know anyhting about the 250r or think it might be a good choice for me?
heres a pic.. they just changed the look this year.. it looks really nice now

It's one of the hottest bikes out on the market right now!
It's sporty looking. Actually, it IS sporty. It just isn't a speed monster, but for functionality, you really can't beat how inexpensive it is.
The mileage on that bike is great. You should be able to get 60-70 mpg with that thing. Maintenance should be relatively cheap; oil changes and regular DIY maintence will make it a great commuter.
I'm actually thinking of getting one just for the everyday commute. I think riding a 1000cc Ducati for work may not be the cost effective way to commute...
