Default Just got 2009 Sonata Limited V-6

Many reasons for the trade...

Will post pics and full review soon... first impressions:
Power- quick, definitely faster than my IS250
Handling- not as tight, more float but better than most "family" sedan except Accord... very close there IMO
Infinity sound- VERY impressive
Interior- much more room
Dash- clean, great guages and illuminescence at night, dash more "plastic looking" than Lexus
Appearance- defintely heading European route, evidence of Genesis on this car too

Will post more soon...

Congragulations. Good Luck with it.

Do you know the standard break-in rules? If not, PM me and I'll give them to you.

And thanks for letting us know they are at the dealerships now. I've been waiting to look at one and test-drive, though I don't have any specific review request for one yet.

Everyone I know who has gotten newer Hyundai products has been well-pleased with them.

but what are the reasons for trading your IS250 for a Hyundai Sonata?

I'm thinking he needed a backseat that was actually usable.

+1... and still wanted power to "play" and get good mileage, all the amenities as well. And since I only had my IS since Sept, neg equity to deal with... Accord came in 2nd, too stubborn on price (and they're NOT selling) plus ya still gotta pay for all the goodies...

Default Power Part II

As opposed to Accord V-6 where you seem to "lose" 20 HP (can't feel all of those 268 ponies), you lose nothing on Sonata's acceleration... had a little "fun" at lunch today...

Keep in mind the Accord V6 has iVTEC-VCM which has NOTHING in common with iVTEC on the Civic Si/RSX Type-S. It is basically Honda's play on GM's Displacement on Demand/Active Fuel Management and Mopar's MDS.

And those new Sonatas aren't bad cars either. How does it feel?

Gotta say, off the line the Lambda 3.3 is more responsive than my IS, haven't hit it yet as still in break-in... feels responsive but FWD from AWD gotta get used to uit again.

No Nav (I have a Tom Tom), only option I don't have... will post pics soon...

Hyundai is finally offering a LG NAV system for the Santa Fe, but I'm sure a Eclipse AVN series or a Pioneer AVIC double-DIN will fit...
