I didn't think they could still run? This wasn't just a quick Sunday cruise around town, it was out in the middle of the desert.

It was a weird purple color! Sorry the first pic is a bit warped and for the dirty windshield (I'm in a rental and refuse to wash it). lol

 

I used to see one everyday a few years ago when I was taking some courses at the local community college. Belonged to one of the professors there. I'm not sure if it is the same guy, but I still see one driving around every now and then.

 

Fun fact. Deloreans all came in one paint scheme because they used unfinished brushed stainless steel body panels.

Is it the car in the movie Back to the Future? Super exclusive. I have read some magazines stating that this car has stainless steel shell? Or I am mistaken?

Yes it's the car, but I think it's "super exclusive" because they didn't sell that well back in the 80's......oh..and John DeLorean got busted big time for cocaine traffic'ing.

Yes it's still in the shop. Waiting on some parts - or that's what I was told. April 5th will be 2 months. I'm more getting anxious now. At least I'm adding a few new things to it and the weather will be nice so as soon as I get it I'll post some pictures, probably by the beach or somewhere good.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed.....

The only reason I have some interest in this car is because it's in the Back to the Future movies, other than that ......
