Default hay guys!

i have an update on my cress!

picked it up from a teacher for $500.

her mechanic said the head was cracked and fubar'd, and the car needed a new engine.
turns out it just had a BHG.

replaced it, put it back together, and it runs now.

i got tired of stock cressida wheels, so i put on my SSR colins and supras, and learned that i REALLY need to lower this car:

next step is a 5 speed swap and IRS swap from either a MKII or X63.
then maybe hit the track?
DO WORK KIDD!

The Exif data tells me it's a Canon EOS Digital Rebel XTi.

thanks, i used a rebel XTi, with a 580EXII flash!
i used manual focus, so a couple weren't as focused as i would've liked, and the wheel shot is kinda grainy because i messed with the lighting levels a little too much in PS.

i'm still trying to get used to the settings and lighting. here's a couple other shots:

the reason why i have like, no exterior shots is because it hasn't moved out of the garage ever. it runs now, but not well enough to be running around. and has expired tabs, no insurance, or gas. haha

i'm going to stick with the 5m-e, and learn to slide, then huck the ever living jesus out of it for a while, and either go 7m NA or a 1J single turbo setup.

7M would be easier because i don't have to screw with mounts and all kinds of other stuff, and it would be all bolt-in, save for wiring.

but a 1J wouldn't be a headgasket dispenser, and would make much more power.
the downside of a 1J would be the need for most likely fabricated engine and transmission mounts, custom driveshaft, all of the IC piping, exhaust piping, etc.

since you bought an MX73 thats true, but im sure theres a few guys around that make MX73 xJZ mounts.

i woulda told you to bite the bullet and buy an MX83 cress since its ridiculously easy to put a jz series motor and trans into it.

it's an X62, dude.

MX83's are like, triple the cost of X6's and 7's.

plus they're stupid ugly, and the easy way out.

lol, its been a while since i looked into cressidas

and i personally prefer the 83's over the rest, plus they're pretty damn cheap here in socal, esp. with BHG i saw one go a few years ago right in front of me for like $850, MINT condition inside+out just a bhg
