2008 BMW M3 Convertible pricing announced
i have noticed that white and lighter color 3 series convertibles the panels are more obvious and less "smooth". darker color cars its harder to tell. Me personally if i had a choice between a coupe and convertible i would pick the drop top without thinking twice.
I was waiting for the release of the price on the M3 Convetible as I have a deposit on one at my dealer, but with a 10K premium and no Carbon Fiber roof, I am seriously thinking twice.
Maybe some better pics of the roof looking less broken may sway my opinion, but the clean CF lines on the coupe are a true touch that only the M6 has on the road to date!
Boy I am so confused now.
The M3 coupe fully loaded is already $68,500 with all the options I want, so adding 10K to that is an $80K car...might as well get an R8 or a GT-R or a CPO M5 or M6 or a CLS AMG?

Want to see the scan of order sheet??
Huh? I wanted to prove a point that these are, contrary to your beliefs, being marked up in ridiculous fashion. Why would I care about your particular order sheet? So you got one without markup. Other dealerships apparently think they can get a $30,000 premium.
You should contact Century West BMW, they'll probably buy yours for more than what you paid, and then you can go back to your dealer and order another one.
It will be interresting to see what M3 convertibles actually go out the door for. I was at the BMW shop this morning for the 128i convertible review; I glanced at a couple of new M3 coupes that were brushing $70,000 on the factory list alone (and some places, of course, charge a dealer-added markup). You can bet the monthly rent, of course, that, in most cases, M3 convertibles will run even more.
