I was about to say who leases an Accord, Camry, Altima, and Civic. Then I saw it is the hybrid. I too probably would lease a hybrid as I wouldn't want to own one long term without a warranty.

to me it's about value. hybrid technology is still new and within couple of yrs, new battery will come out and i bet they are going to be smaller and longer lasting.
that would put an immediate big hit on current hybrid cars (used cars by then). i wouldn't want to be stuck with one where i will need to take big hit when selling, and i don't feel happy driving coz' it doesn't last as well, and i pay all the taxes up front
so i would just lease one, pay the tax for the time i lease, and return it and look at the hybrid technology by then
my 2 cents

The 335i's second-place showing doesn't surprise me a bit. Those of you who read my recent review of it know how highly I think of it, and what a good deal it is compared to the M3. And BMW is known for good lease rates because of the low depreciation of their products. Though I'm generally a Subaru fan, I haven't ruled out a lease myself on a 335ix AWD....not likely, but a possibility.

well it should be pretty soon. the first hybrid car, "Mixte" is actually made by ferdinand porsche in 1902... official name of the series is Semper Vivus, which means "always alive." but after ford developed self-starting gas engine in 1920 it caused the hybrid production to decline rapidly, (sigh, ford, look at where they are at now) and it took almost 100 yrs b4 becoming popular again... (prius). the launch of toyota prius was actually the result of 30 yrs of development using concept cars like the 1977 toyota sports 800 gas turbine hybrid prototype; so starting in 1997 the hybrids (honda insight/toyota prius) were already about "20 yrs old." its just that the hybrid car prices hasn't gone down all that much... but it will eventually i presume haha sorry a little
but just FYI
but just FYI
no, the footnote states the h denotes that hybrid is available, not that it is only singling out the hybrid models.
