Legally, it is in many states.....but much depends on general driving and road conditions. Henry(rominl) above noted that he got nabbed for 93 in a 65 zone (28+) but was not charged with it.

That's absurd logic. Just because a thief doesn't get caught and prosecuted doesn't mean he's not a criminal when he decided to steal.

well for traffic infractions...

half the people on the road fall under "failing to yield"

not to mention in Socal at big intersections 5 cars on average are running the red lights at the left turns... and 99% of those drivers don't get pulled over...

I got reckless driving for doing a 180 in a parking lot 4 years ago in my celica. It was around 9pm or so, and no other cars or people were around, but I was still in a commerical lot.

the full story is in the "dumb things you've done in your car" thread lol

Here's the definition of wreckless, or irresponsible driving:

I was driving at slightly above the speed limit on a local road last summer, and this car suddenly appeared behind me. He followed me for several seconds, and then he changed the lane. Guess what he did next. When his car was side by side with mine, he suddenly steered toward my lane. Had there been a car on the other lane, my ES350 might have been wrecked.

Then I chased him, caught him and called the police. I got out of the car and stood right in front of his so he wouldn't get away. The look on his face was pure gold HA! When this police officer arrived, we had a little talk and then I was let go. I don't know what happened to the driver, but I hope he doesn't post on this forum.

Wreckless driving is that which does not produce a wreck.

Reckless driving, OTOH, is that performed without regard for the safety of oneself or of others.

What line has to be crossed for it to become "wreckless"?
Ha-ha...
That's easy: wreckless driving is when after you're finished driving, no cars are wrecked
Reckless driving is driving too fast for conditions, with no regards for danger, weather, traffic, etc., although this is not a legal definition.
